Aliexpress Closed My Dispute After I Returned a Damaged Item - Now They’re Stonewalling Me

Hey Reddit,

I’m beyond frustrated and wanted to share this in case anyone else is going through something similar - or to warn others about how Aliexpress handles disputes.

On June 16, I opened a dispute for a damaged item I received.

Aliexpress approved the return, and I used the return label they provided. I shipped the item back on July 3, and it was delivered to their warehouse (I have full tracking confirmation - even a link showing delivery).

So far, so good, right?

Nope. They closed the dispute on July 4 - without issuing a refund. No explanation, no update, nothing.

I’ve since submitted everything you could possibly ask for:

  • Proof of shipment
  • The return receipt
  • Photos of the damaged item
  • Tracking link showing the item was delivered

Their system keeps asking for “more evidence”, even though they already have the returned product.

To make matters worse, yesterday an agent opened a new dispute on my behalf without my consent -which seems to have reset the whole process and won’t even let me add the tracking number again.

I contacted support, and all I get are copy-paste responses from bots or outsourced agents telling me to "wait patiently" or "provide evidence" I've already submitted multiple times.

Just a heads-up for anyone thinking of buying anything expensive or important from Aliexpress: if something goes wrong, it might be a nightmare to resolve.

If anyone has advice on pushing through a refund when they’ve already received the return but refuse to acknowledge it - I’m all ears.

TL;DR:

  • Opened dispute for damaged item
  • Returned item using Aliexpress label
  • Delivered July 3, dispute closed July 4 — no refund
  • Submitted all proof multiple times
  • System still asks for “evidence”
  • Support opened a second dispute without solving the first
  • Giving them 48 hours before PayPal escalation

Thanks for reading - hopefully this helps someone else avoid the same mess.
