Damaged Item, Dispute Advice Needed

I’ve bought a lot of items on AE and maybe I’ve just been lucky but very few issues. I bought an item that was supposed to be in the US (where I live) and arrive within the week but it came from China and took 19 days, ok fine. I opened to find it was broken, contacted the seller, sent a video, pictures, etc and they said they would ship me a new one but never did. I then opened a dispute with AE, seller begged me to cancel and promised to send another but thanks to this sub, I did not cancel. I am just shy of a month of this dispute, AE keeps telling me they have escalated it and I should receive a respond in 48 hours but they have told me that numerous times and no response. The seller is straight up harassing me to cancel in the AE app and WhatsApp, I just keep saying I will not cancel until resolved.

Item is over $1,500 (I know, I know), what do I do? It was purchased on an AMEX that has great customer support but I’m starting to get close to the dispute deadline, will AE come through?
