How Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip failed me without actually breaking

My Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 bids farewell as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is set to make its debut, expected this July. The upcoming Z Flip 7 may offer a notable upgrade from my current Z Flip 5. It is rumored to feature a slightly larger battery compared to the Flip 6, which already had a slightly bigger battery than the Flip 5, along with a significantly larger outer screen. Unfortunately, I cannot wait for a few more months. After experiencing a year and a half with the Flip, I have reached my breaking point. It is important to note that my phone has never cracked. Even my folding Flip has never developed the dreaded green line along its crease. Although the factory screen protector started peeling, a simple $30 and a visit to uBreakiFix resolved that issue. The downfall of my Flip began when it started running out of battery before the end of the day and disturbing my sleep. The battery drains faster than usual, and since the latest major software update, the sleep and do-not-disturb modes do not effectively silence notification sounds anymore. These issues have become too troublesome for me to overlook the unique advantages of the Flip. Regarding battery life, I have observed the phone dropping to 80 percent by 9 in the morning and reaching a critical low by 9 PM, despite minimal use during work hours.
