Seller asking me to cancel dispute after providing a tracking number that does not work/has not updated.
| | Context: I placed this order on August 1st 2025, today is the 14th. As you can imagine, we are outside the original processing timeframe. I had been in contact with the seller multiple times since around the 5th of August when the order still had not shipped. I realize they have 10 days but in my experience once you surpass day 5 and no tracking has been provided/order isn’t marked as shipped, you can pretty much guarantee the item won’t ship and will end up being canceled by AliExpress. So, the last time I spoke with the seller on August 9th, they assured me the order would ship no later than the 13th. So, as this is the 3rd time attempting to order this item from a 3rd seller, I extended the delivery deadline by 4 days to allow time. My order was marked as shipped on August 11th and tracking number provided (yay, finally!) but the tracking number has not updated at all, 3 days later. I can’t track it with Parcels App and global.cainiao states it’s “awaiting seller dispatch”— so the order actually has NOT shipped. So I reached out to the seller early this morning and did not receive any response. About an hour ago I decided to go to AliExpress with the issue to see if they could provide assistance or resolution. Their suggestion was to open a dispute, which I did, as (per the AE CS Rep) the order could not be tracked. Now the seller is asking me to cancel the dispute because they “have urged the logistics provider to update the tracking” and that “the tracking will update within a week” — A WEEK?????? For the package to be marked as picked up?! They’re lying and the package never shipped, right? [link] [comments] |
