Seller asking to send a message asking to ship package later

So I received an email from a seller telling me to send them a message on the app asking them to ship the item 5-10 days later because "I wont be home" and they offered to send a little gift if I do that.
I don't mind waiting the extra time if it really is just 5-10 days but I'm worried it may affect my buyer's protection so does anyone know if sending that message might affect me in some way?
