This is how I saved a lot of money on AliExpress - Pros and Cons
I recently started using a browser extension that helps with coupons and cashback, and I wanted to share my honest experience – especially for people who regularly shop on sites like AliExpress, Temu, eBay, or Booking.com.
Here’s what went well:
- On AliExpress, it automatically tested a bunch of coupon codes during checkout and actually found one that saved me around $6. I was honestly surprised it worked because I’ve wasted time in the past trying expired codes from Google.
- It also tracks cashback. I got about $4 back on a Booking.com hotel, which showed up after 2–3 days and was credited to my account a few weeks later.
- The tool runs quietly in the background and only shows up when you’re on a shopping site. No need to search for deals yourself.
But it’s not perfect:
- Sometimes the “best” coupon it applies only saves a few cents, and I wonder if it’s really the best option.
- Cashback tracking isn’t instant and can feel slow. I’ve had one purchase (on eBay) that didn’t track at all.
- It doesn’t work on every site. On a smaller electronics store, nothing happened.
- Occasionally, it shows popups or reminders that feel a bit intrusive.
Still, I’ve saved a bit of money without changing my habits – and that’s a win.
The tool I’m talking about is Coupert. If you're already shopping online, it’s worth trying – especially for sites like AliExpress or Booking where even small discounts add up.
Has anyone else used Coupert or something similar? What’s your experience?
