Isn't 14-day withdrawal right respected by sellers selling to EU customers?

I bought a phone cover that arrived and my phone barely fits in, there's a big gap when i force it in. I opened a refund request, but AliExpress said no refund, now I uploaded a full video showing the issue, but can they really refuse to refund and scam me with an unusable product? Don't they even have to respect the EU law with the 14-day withdrawal right for goods purchased online? I may have to dispute through PayPal in the worst case I guess.
